CLASH News Flash For December 30, 2009: CLASH Wrestling is just shy of 4 weeks away from its 75th Live Event Anniversary – SEIZE THE DAY III! Don’t miss the anticipated return of CLASH WRESTLING LIVE to Taylor, MI on January 23, 2010. Some of the most colossal matches have already been signed along with talent returns, and new talent signings. Here are the details below:

THE HISTORY
It began on January 5, 2008 at TaylorTown Trade Center, CLASH Wrestling promoted its inaugural event Seize The Day to crown its first champion in Fatal Four Way Fashion. Cameron Skyy walked out as CLASH Wrestling’s first Heavyweight Champion pinning Tommy Tydie, with J. Miller & GQ also being defeated. There were no Tag Titles to speak of, however the event was comprised of four singles bouts giving the winners the opportunity to be in the first ever Fatal Four Way main event.

January 2009 brought on a different level of Professional Wrestling as the Tag Titles had been introduced in June of the prior year and producing a blood feud between H3RD and The Friends. This feud concluded at Seize The Day II in a 30 minute Iron Man Match ultimately giving The Friends the victory and the gold. On the other end, the then fan favorite Cameron Skyy reclaimed the CLASH Championship from Jack Night after dropping it to him in November of the prior year.

The 2009 event also saw two of CLASH Wrestling’s biggest goliaths, The Wreckingball & Dragon Kreed go toe-to-toe. The victory went to breakout star Dragon Kreed who would be destined to become CLASH Wrestling Heavyweight Champion 2 months later defeating Cameron Skyy.

SEIZE THE DAY III – START OF A NEW DECADE
Where things end, there are always new beginnings. This particularly is true stemming from last year’s showdown when The Wreckingball came out following the Iron Man Tag Bout & delivering 2 devastating splashes to J.Miller with his head wedged between two steel folding chairs. The 2 month hiatus Miller took from the ring brought on a feud that has been 1 year in the making including a series of bouts which will finally conclude when there is only one man standing on 1/23/2010!

With the CLASH Championship out of play since July 2009 after Kreed suffered a severe shoulder injury at the hands of Cameron Skyy & Tyler Elkins, the CLASH faithful has awaited the belt’s return for quite some time. Although there has been several attempts to restore the belt’s vacancy, the CLASH gold will return at Seize The Day III on 1/23/10 and be handed to the winner of the Fatal Four Way between Cameron Skyy, Dragon Kreed, Tyler Elkins, & Tommy Tydie.

The CLASH Tag Gold is also up for grabs, literally, as the straps will be suspended 15 feet above the ground where the only way to win is to climb a Ladder! The Friends (GQ & Rave K) dropped the belts to Night-Life (Dave Manzo & Jack Night) following their defense against Skyy & Elkins in October 2009. CLASH CEO “B” has backed Night-Life with his CEO Power to reinforce their Tag Title reign, however on 1/23/10, there will be no dq, no countouts, no pinfalls – only ladders!

- Josh Thor vs. Austin Manix

New Talent Acquisitions Debuting @ Seize The Day III
Along with the monumental bouts already signed for Seize The Day III, CLASH has signed new talent that will debut on 1/23/2010. This talent includes but not limited to Midwest Star Truth Martini whose role has not yet been disclosed, in addition to another signed bout between T-D and Kid Hybrid.

With the recent announcement on CLASHWRESTLING.COM & CHIKARAPRO.COM of the joint collaboration in June 2010, CLASH Wrestling will feature a “CLASH vs. CHIKARA” themed event on February 20, 2010. Signed for the event thus far are the Osirian Portal, Frightmare, & Green Ant to challenge the best CLASH has to offer! More details as we draw closer.

CLASH Wrestling would like to officially announce that Truth Martini will make his CLASH debut at Seize The Day III on January 23rd in Taylor, MI. A longtime veteran of the sport and a highly respected trainer, Martini brings a wealth of knowledge to the CLASH lockerroom. Truth Martini has most recently put his entire focus into managing, a job he does quite well. Whether it’s for Ring Of Honor or for a number of independent companies throughout the country, Martini often guides his associates to victory.

Does Truth Martini have his eye on some of the CLASH talent or does he have different aspirations? One must think that Martini has made a countless number of friends over the years, is he coming to CLASH Wrestling alone? Only Truth Martini knows the answers to these questions and he’s chosen Seize The Day III on January 23rd to fill the rest of us in on his gameplan.
