Notes From Seize The Day II – Injuries, H3RD, & More

Just some extra news and notes arriving in from SEIZE THE DAY II in TAYLOR, MI this past weekend. While the event itself was a success, it goes without saying to not try this at home as injury occurs even with professionals.
* J. MILLER SUFFERS SERIOUS HEAD INJURY, SIDELINED INDEFINITELY. On top of the sudden death overtime in the 30 Minute Ironman match against the FRIENDS, J. MILLER sustained serious head injury at the hands of THE WRECKINGBALL with a vicious attack after the match. This attack included two chair shots to the head accompanied with two thunderous splashes across J. MILLER’s head & neck as it was lodged between two chairs. As four members of security helped MILLER to the back, he was forced to seek medical attention immediately following SEIZE THE DAY II.
Early observations suggested this head injury to be a severe case of Cerebral Edema, also known as “Brain Swelling” which is generally a result of different kinds of injury to the brain. With this news, “The Murderous Monk” will be out of action this Saturday Night, as he has an appointment with doctors for an official prognosis. CLASH Wrestling should have more answers by Saturday Night, 1/17 on his condition.
* H3RD NO MORE? As everyone in attendance witnessed the devastation of J. MILLER by THE WRECKINGBALL, fellow H3RD Member TOMMY TYDIE intentionally chose to desert and abandon MILLER during the attack! What does this mean for one of the most dominating tag teams in CLASH Wrestling, the H3RD? This Saturday Night, 1/17, TOMMY TYDIE will address us LIVE!
* JACK NIGHT & CAMERON SKYY MUTUALLY INJURED DURING CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT. As many tuned in for the epic rematch between CAMERON SKYY and JACK NIGHT, the two mutually suffered their own set of injuries coming out of the NO DQ match. JACK NIGHT suffered a concussion from the kendo stick shots to the head. It is unknown if NIGHT will be appearing THIS SATURDAY NIGHT, 1/17 in TAYLOR, MI. Meanwhile, SKYY suffered a minor neck injury but is not expected to miss any time in the ring.

Column: John Striker Pens His Second “Pillar To Post”

Welcome back loyal and appreciative fans, to another fine addition of Pillar to Post with yours truly, John Striker. If you missed the first edition, go check it out. To recap, on Pillar to Post I’ll be discussing the top four CLASH items on my mind. Get it, four topics, four ring posts. Pillar to Post; more then just a catchy column name and wrestling phrase. In any event, let’s delve right into the deep inner-workings of my brain and see what we come up with.
And the winner is…
I’ve made my full list of predictions as to who will win in each category for the huge CLASH year-end awards. Because I’m such an astute observer, I am sure that I’ve got each category predicted correctly. I don’t want to spoil your surprise by announcing what are sure to be the winners just yet. I’ve written them down, so on the next Pillar to Post we’ll see just how accurate I really am.
Needless to say, you should have already purchased your ticket to the award ceremony. This is sure to be the single biggest party in history of Arnaldo’s Banquet Center. There will be music, dancing, drinking and all the fun that only CLASH can deliver. Where else can you kick back with your favorite CLASH stars, such as John Striker, and really get the opportunity to interact with and get to know them better on a personal level? If you answered ‘nowhere’ you get a gold star. I look forward to seeing you all there!
Full House
I’m sure we’ll have a full house for Seize the Day II this Saturday as Jack and Ace do battle to see who is the King of Clash Wrestling. Ok, I’ll stop the bad play on words. I predicted that this match would take place and Cameron lived up to my expectations, earning the match this Saturday. Jack Night has managed, by hook or crook, to keep that title away from Ace for a while now but I don’t think he’ll be able to weasel his way out of this one. Something tells me that this match will be decided in the ring, without controversy. Night needs to prove, once and for all, that he can defeat Skyy and Skyy needs to prove that he is still the best wrestler in CLASH. It doesn’t get any more basic, any more primal, or any more serious then that.
Goodbye 2008…
And a wrestler or two with it. CLASH recently announced the release of Steff O’Riley. Also, my inside sources have confirmed that Skull Williams will NOT be returning at Seize the Day II. Since I deal in facts I won’t speculate on the reasoning behind the departure of either man. One has to wonder, however, if maybe we should have paid a little more heed to the words of Mike Daniels. He says that he is the future of CLASH Wrestling and, low and behold, he’s the one that seems to have the heart, drive, and determination as he is sticking around to see the future of CLASH. It will be interesting to see how Daniels looks in his return match as he takes on Danny Danger. Speaking of heart, you can’t question Danny or his buddy Josh Thor’s commitment to CLASH Wrestling. These two guys drive from eastern Pennsylvania for each and every appearance.
Hello 2009…
We already know that 2009 will hold the greatest event in CLASH history. We also know that 2009 will be better than 2008 because, at the very least, John Striker will there for the whole year, not just the second half. I believe that 2009 will surpass everyone’s expectations in terms of the entertainment value, the success, and the growth of CLASH Wrestling. Now, because I’m bold, I will make several predictions about what 2009 will hold.
- Dragon Kreed as CLASH Heavyweight Champion
I said last time that I think Wreckingforce has come to the end of the road and that both men would do well to seek individual fame. I also said if Dragon can get his head in the game, so to speak, he’ll be unstoppable. My prediction is he does get his head in the game, and goes straight to the top.
- Another Big Guest
I predict another big guest coming to CLASH. With CLASH gaining notoriety and fame for having the best wrestlers, who wouldn’t want to come see what we have to offer?
-T-Train Gets Rolling
Sorry I broke my ‘no more play on words’ promise. 2008 was a good year for rookie Tyler Elkins but I predict 2009 will be even better. The sooner Tyler learns not to be so trusting and that he needs to watch his own back, the better off he’ll be.
- H3RD No More
H3RD work great as a team, but I think that there is a little too much ego in the group for sustainability. I predict a break-up as each member tries to prove that he is better then the rest.

This is less a prediction and more a natural progression

JACK NIGHT had stalked the CLASH Championship since his ALL OUT WAR Victory in the 20 man battle royal in August. Now, since defeating SKYY on 11/8 at DIVIDED WE FALL ending his 10 Month title reign with the aid of a kendo stick, we’ve seen SKYY scratch and crawl through the many tests and road blocks put forth by JEREMY JONES. With the tests pass, it’ll be for all the gold, one victor, CAMERON SKYY vs. JACK NIGHT – WHO will walk out as this companies champion kicking off 2009?
- 30 MINUTE IRONMAN MATCH: H3RD (c) vs. FRIENDS (TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP) It is set in stone. In one of the greatest rivalries in CLASH Wrestling stemming since May 2008, the H3RD (TOMMY TYDIE & J. MILLER) and the FRIENDS (GQ ASSASSIN & RAVE KILLBOURN) will do battle once more for one illustrious half-hour to determine the TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP and who really is the most dominant tag team in CLASH Wrestling!
Two teams, bound by hatred and the CLASH Gold will come to a head in the final battle as the challengers, the FRIENDS take on the champions, H3RD (c) at SEIZE THE DAY II! Only one team will have their hands raised, and their quest realized while the other team will be expended, and breathe loneliness with the absence of the CLASH Tag Team Championship. - “SWAGG STARR” DAVE MANZO vs. “T-TRAIN” TYLER ELKINS It all comes to ahead this SATURDAY NIGHT, JANUARY 10 what has long stemmed since August 2008 through betrayals, MMA bouts, and more. We will witness the ONE ON ONE encounter, one fall to finish – DAVE MANZO vs. TYLER ELKINS!
- THE WRECKINGBALL vs. DRAGON KREED (CLASH OF THE TITANS) The two biggest monsters in CLASH Wrestling will unleash themselves against one another which looks to be one of the BIGGEST matches on the SEIZE THE DAY II card! It appears the “force” was weak in the once dominant WRECKING-FORCE team, but this match will undoubtedly be a “wrecking-force” in itself as these two mammoths will CLASH for the first time ever on 1/10/09!
- KEITH CALHOUN vs. WILL VENDETTA With KEITH CALHOUN’s recent frustration leading to many in attendance forming a strong dislike for the veteran, WILL VENDETTA has seemingly been on the receiving end of his venting in a physical manner. With the challenge accepted, WILL VENDETTA and KEITH CALHOUN look to now vent their frustration against one another at the biggest event of the year – SEIZE THE DAY II!
- DANNY DANGER vs. “THE FUTUR3″ MIKE DANIELS (RETURN vs. RETURN) The “DANGEROUSLY AMAZING” DANNY DANGER makes his CLASH return against a foe who also marks his return from injury – “THE FUTUR3″ MIKE DANIELS! One of the many special attractions at SEIZE THE DAY II in TAYLOR, MI on 1/10/09!
- JOSH THOR vs. KHAMELEON Lastly, the returning JOSH THOR w/ DANNY DANGER will be in one-on-one action against CLASH Wrestling’s “RESIDENT REPTILE” KHAMELEON. Can THOR’s size and strength advantage make the difference to KHAMELEON’s speed and agility? We’ll find out on JANUARY 10!
- HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW YOUR “SEIZE THE DAY” HISTORY?
Here are a few “DID YOU KNOWS” stemming from the first SEIZE THE DAY which makes things kind of interesting. DID YOU KNOW…
1. RAVE KILLBOURN was in singles action against TOMMY TYDIE – coincidentally these two would be involved with one another in one of the most fueled rivalries in CLASH Wrestling – (FRIENDS vs. H3RD).
2. GQ ASSASSIN pinned MIKE DANIELS on 1/5/08, ironically, DANIELS would be the root of the H3RD when he turned on the FRIENDS in JUNE 2008 to join TYDIE and MILLER to form the H3RD! Looked to be a bit of foreshadowing of the “Futur3.”
3. CAMERON SKYY defeated TOMMY TYDIE, J. MILLER, and GQ ASSASSIN in a fatal four way for the CLASH Championship. SKYY retained the belt until being defeated by JACK NIGHT on 11/8 at DIVIDED WE FALL. SKYY will now be in the main event once again on the chase for the CLASH Championship against JACK NIGHT (c)!
4. Local rapper LIL WICKED was the guest MC for SEIZE THE DAY and will return to do the same on SEIZE THE DAY II!
